I had to make a purchase from L.L. Bean last week, and made the same mistake. I discovered that L.L. Bean does not participate in any airline or Amtrak malls.
But I found a way to get miles/points for the purchase!
If you buy a gift certificate for L.L. Bean from
giftcertificates.com and then use it for your L.L. Bean purchase - you'll earn miles/points!
It may be extra work, but I earned 200 UA miles for my L.L. Bean purchase!
