which brings to mind a conversation with my mother about 5 years ago, ahe was going to Egypt on quite a strict weight allowance
mother "you would be surprised how much a bottle of water weighs"
me "no I wouldnt, a litre of water weighs a kilo"

we did try to explain about the basic definition of density being water has a mass of 1g per cubic cm but she still thinks that its a conspiracy
