TORONTO -- July 31, 2002 -- Scand-America Tours, Norway, and Bahamasair announce the introduction of services connecting Nassau with Havana, Cuba.
Mr. Jostein Grosaas, director of Scand-American Tours, is delighted to announce the introduction of regular scheduled charter service between The Bahamas and Cuba starting October 17th, 2002. The route will be serviced by four weekly flights using Boeing 737 aircraft accommodating 120 passengers.
“The service,” stated Mr. Grosaas, “will allow European and other travelers heading to Cuba to connect seamlessly in Nassau on the same airline from Bahamasair's gateways in Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Orlando, at an introductory fare of $99.00 each way.”
The Havana Flying Club of Toronto will handle the sales and reservations for the flights, as well as offer a wide range of land-based programs in Cuba and The Bahamas. Mr. Grosaas added, “I am certain the introduction of a reliable service between The Bahamas and Cuba, serviced by Bahamasair Boeing 737 aircraft and supported by a first class sales and reservation team, will set a new standard in the provision of travel to Cuba."
