I like the look of this place – great ambience and scenery and it seems to have that personal touch which I like; I’m a great fan of ‘truffes’ (magic to my ears) although not robust enough to go for ‘gibiers’.

Seguret is a good base – 7kms away from Gigondas, we can get a taxi back so neither of us feel that we have drawn the short straw. Any recommendations on which Gigondas to go for – we were there for a fleeting visit a few weeks ago following a wedding, and all the ones we sampled (out of a range of 40) were so, so different.

I can see a few sore heads coming on the next day
