Well, ozstamps, for about 18 months now I've been mentioning this idea (along with Fast Track airport security privileges and waived fare-basis restrictions on upgrading) to any and every employee of UA I could find. I phoned my idea in to Customer Service 3 times last year and in December I wrote a letter to UA Marketing asking about these benefits. The cost is minimal and, as you point out, the goodwill is huge. Equally importantly, the competition offers these with no problems!

I wish others would write to Mileage Plus Marketing, to UA Customer Service, and anywhere else you can think of to promote these ideas. It would make international travel soooo much smoother without making 1Ks feel cheap when we have to travel in Economy.

A side note to Tinkybelle and others: with the opening of the grand new international terminal at SFO, United has opened a beautiful new in-house Arrivals lounge. It's on the ground floor near the UA domestic baggage claim.
