0% I've never been in a position where the time required for the mileage run would be worth the benefits received.

That said, I've taken a few fairly spontaneous trips in my life due to either a ridiculously low airfare, bonus miles, or both. For example, about couple years back, WN was running $49 each way MCI-SFO and the majors matched it. So I did a nice MCI-DFW-SFO-DFW-MCI for something like $115 all in. I was AA Plat at the time, upgraded the whole thing, and enjoyed the 2x miles. As a nonstatus pax, I either wouldn't have taken the trip or just flown the WN nonstop.

But I spent one night in SF, met up with a couple of different friends for dinner/drinks/etc., played a round of golf, and visited the pinnipeds - so it wasn't really a "pure" MR.

I'm at 70k EQM right now. Maybe I'll rethink a pure MR if I'm within reach of 1K come December. It'll depend on the terms and cost of the Double EQM promotion when/if it is announced.
