I've been doing Atkins (fwiw, a harder-core low carb diet, without the Zone's measurement thing) for a while now, and, here's what I figure:
a) Grab high-protein, low carb bars - an alternative when you can't get the Zone bars (The purest HC/LP bars are: Atkins and Protein Revolution)
b) Keep some nuts in your bag
c) Order low-gluten meals (if you care, this will not generally have starch)
d) And/Or: I just stick with the regular meal, and delete the things I can't eat. Generally, the reg meal has a starch/protein balance that will work nicely for a Zoner.
