I am still a bit hazy about your question .. but here goes.
Terminal D is already connected to the main building and the connection being basically on opposing side (north) from the location of the D AC.

There are plans to refurbish the old D gates but thats a fairly long way off.

Essentially the AA ( North Teminal) will have a elongated semi-circle appearance which will consist of eventually 50 gates running from about opposite the current D50 (2 new RJ gates at the end of D) to the current AI
The old D gates are an intergal part of the "semi-circle"

Its my understanding that the gates will ALL have a D prefix for example the current A1 will become D1 when the project is completed.
