Got it. AACustomer Service knew exactly what I was talking about and happily enrolled me in the Plat Challenge....although the Service Center here in MEX had no idea what I was talking about.....they said it "must be some special US offer," although she did spend quite a bit of time researching it.
FYI according to the agent I spoke with, fewer BA fare bases count towards the AAChallenge than do for normal AA accrual. IŽll post the exact discounted BA economy fare bases in a bit.
