Just called ba.com to make an open-jaw Amex voucher booking. Instead of asking for the passenger names the agent just asked for the Exec numbers but she misheard one of them. When she read the names back to me I corrected her and, after another misheard attempt, she finally got the right name. Ok, she says, I'll go in and correct the booking. But she didn't. When I checked in MMB I find myself and some random woman I've never heard of as the passengers. So I call straight back and another agent eventually tells me that they will correct it at no charge. Now when I check in MMB the names are correct but the email address for correspondence is this random woman, who presumably has received all my personal details and now has access to my booking via the PNR and surname.
Suffice to say I am not happy (especially since I am paying for this "service"). Before I call back and kick up a fuss does anyone know if it is possible to change the PNR on an existing booking? I would really rather this random woman didn't have access to it. Plus when I check the booking now in Checkmytrip it has an unusual message - Airline Confirmation Number: NOSYNC. That looks like trouble to me.
