I could easily see a change in ticket price since the R class may not be available, forcing you to another fare class. Have you actually looked or are you just making things up?
Lots of R7, R8 and R9 eastbound, for example, the week before and the week of Christmas. Much less availability returning in the few days after New Years, but R9 on 1/6, 1/8 and 1/9. Availability could certainly increase, because many of the flights are still J9. There are 35 BusinessFirst seats on the 764.
