I know it's not the same as watching but when faced with a similar challenge I follow the live qualifying and race sessions via www.formula1.com . You have to register to get the live written commentary and the race/interval timings. Often I even use website while watching, just to get even more detail. I am pretty sure they have T-Mobile WiFi at the LAX RCC, at least they did a few months ago when I was waiting for my LAX-NRT flight. Local start-time is 23:00 for me, on Star Sports, and am looking forward to the race.
