Question: when given the option on a Skykit, is it better to select miles or voucher? I'm seeing 10,000 miles as kind of a "typical" result to selecting miles, whereas I've seen voucher amounts all over the board from $50 to several hundred dollars for minor things.
My situation: yesterday I was a minor spill victim. FA was trying to hand OJ to the Mr. Window and got a little on me. He apologized, helped me clean up, and I thought that was the end of it. Then, two hours later as we're about to land, he hands me a Skykit form with his name and a file number and apologizes again. He also says to make sure I include any drycleaning/laundry expenses with the form. Totally unexpected and classy thing for him to do ^ - I had already forgotten about the spill.
I won't ask for any compensation beyond filling out the form itself, but I'm wondering whether I should gamble on the more variable option of a voucher. Thoughts? I'm a 1P and was traveling on a midlevel paid coach fare (I think an 'H') if it matters...
