I agree with Siam. If you are flying that much there should be a further level of recognition. Some only fly within the UK or Europe on BA which requires around 20 rtn in C to retain Gold. Not a huge amount imho. I am able to achieve this every year without too much trouble.
LH has introduce a HON level with many additional benefits and travellers seem to have responded very well, so well that the mileage required for next year will be increase to around 350K a year.
I guess the next question would be the required number of miles or points required for the next level. 3000 points would seem fair or too much?
