I've never seen the point of 'storage space' on an airplane seat. All that encourages you to do is forget something when you stagger off the plane after a 14 hour trip. Or maybe this is their uber-secret plan to provide holiday gifts to all their employees: left-behind ipods and noise-cancelling headsets.
