I once boarded a flight that left the gate before I reached my seat. I remember it because I almost fell down when the plane started moving. This was after driving frantically to the airport and running to the gate; it was already about 10 minutes past scheduled departure time, but I ran just in case in they were still there. Of course, this was over 30 years ago when the rules were different.
