So I fly UA, almost exclusively, but I had to go to ANC this week and with UA dropping service there AS seemed like the likely candidate to get me there <g>

I had only flown AS once before to SEA from SNA and was actually quite impressed with the meal service and actually everything (except the seat) I thought was great. I remembered getting a sandwhich, chicken and pesto I belive and a decent salad, both were quite good.

So I bought an F fare SNA-SEA-ANC and return.

My first flight SNA-SEA we get nuts, gee thanks thats super not even a snack?? (2:15 departure) I was pretty disappointed in that.

Second flight SEA-ANC, a freaking pizza!!! Thing looked like some sort of frozen microwave disc of crap. I hadn't eaten such a fowl lame meal since freshman year of university living in the dorms. This is First class, my posterior section, simply pathetic!

My seat mate, upon hearing we were getting pizza tells the FA he just had the same on his flight from Texas and could he get the beef bowl from Y, when his arrived I was pretty jealous.

Returning ANC-SEA, yup you guessed it, PIZZA AGAIN, what a disaster, though this time I followed the example of my seat mate on the previous flight and asked if I could have the beef bowl as I had the pizza on the way up and it was quite fowl, I noticed several other F pax did the same.

Its a sad, pathetic example of F class when your coach BoB is better than the F meal.

On the plus side though, I would like to grab whomever at UA is in charge of the RCCs by the ear and drag them through a tour'd'boardrooms because those were NICE! The SEA boardroom had a wine-tasting event!?! With good, really good snacks and several wines, wow that was different.

Though not enough to encourage me to buy F on AS again.
