We have the same thing with Air Canada!

Mileage accumulation on Lufthansa is 100% of actual miles flown on North-Atlantic flights in all classes. Accumulation on non-North-Atlantic flights in Economy Class is 50% of actual miles (minimum 500 miles)

So I could fly from FRA to SIN in economy, and just get 50% of the miles. That sucks.
