My count is that C.P.K is a reasonably well known brand. It's not random-airport-vendor-of-dubious-quality. And remember the F pax were given a choice. Perhaps the F/A could have, if she were perfect, offered to the pax a choice of:
1. pizza
2. salad
or
3. $25 voucher
The pax still gets the choice. Also note that UA happily serves McDonald's products in their kids happy meal thingoes. (I amusingly recall a kid in F on a recent flight asking he if chould have fresh fries with his meal!).
I am sure all pax on that flight, along with the 1K who wrote, obviously apprieciated that someone had taken the time and thought to feel that they were on a dinner flight, and they would still have some sort of a choice. I know I would have been most apprieciative of the thought and effort when she could have easily just though "stuff you - it's only a 2 hour flight and you can eat when you get off!"
Just my 2 cents
