For all you out there that are considering new bags you might want to steer away from the Swiss Gear bags. I tried the cool Macgyver route and it failed me!


I bought three; a Roller Laptop, a 21" upright and a 28" Upright. So far the following happened inside the first 6 months:

Laptop: Strap for laptop tore out, telescoping handle keeps getting stuck

21" Pilots: 3 Zipper pulls tore off, wheels can't handle weight with laptop bag attached

28" Upright: Zipper failed completely leaving me no choice but to cut it open after a trip to Manila to get the gifts out for the wife and kids

On the flip (good) side the manufacturers have responded quickly to the problem and use email/pictures to replace warranty issue. No BS with sending it in if you can send them a picture and a scan of the receipt
