There are many anecdotes describing interference, but almost no scientific evidence supporting them. I am a pilot and amongst the flying community it is quite common to fly with a cellphone turned on with little reported interference.
If cellphones on planes really were dangerous, we would not be able to take them on board. There are people out there who want to endanger flights - do you think they haven't tried leaving phones on?
