Hi,
I stayed at the MGM Grand last week (and got burnt on the $20 trick - see other thread) using a
promo which doesn't seem to be linked from the main MGM page, but is linked to by a number of sites.
Anyway, the promo was for $69 a night including $25 worth of restaurant vouchers (usuable at most of the places there) and 2 free drinks at the west wing bar.
Feeling good after a great meal at Diego's I headed over to the west wing bar to get my drinks. I sat down at the bartender and asked which drinks were eligible under the promotion. I fully expected him to say something like "domestic beers and selected spirits". In fact he said "anything you want!"
My tip, after a scan of what was on offer, is this. Ask for a large 18 yr old Glenlivet. Normal cost is $21 per drink! And he didn't mess about with the measure either.
So I stayed in a room for $69, lost $20 on the $20 trick, but subtracting $25 for the food and $42 for the drinks (OK, I tipped the bartender $8) I think I got my moneys worth in the end
