No idea re today. But I did notice that DL 117 also diverted somewhere and was quite delayed back on Sept. 30th. That day, my SFO-ATL flight was delayed by 4+ hours, getting in after 1:30 a.m. DL 117 was on the arrivals board as scheduled for arrival around 3:30 a.m., with diversion noted.

I've flown the route a couple of times and certainly liked it well enough-- better up front than in the back, of course. A diversion would suck. But, as others on this board have noted, diversions happen a lot more frequently than many of us imagine. FWIW. YMMV.
