We are taking advantage of the recent business class airfare sale to travel to Greece for 8 days over New Years. We will go to Athens to see all of the usual stuff and then we've been told that the islands are a must. I am having trouble finding hotels in Santorini that are open in December/January. I have clicked on the links that I found searching other FT threads and none of them are open during this time of year, even the Starwood properties I checked (but couldn't get the Crete property to load, so will be checking that out today).

Bottom line - has anyone done the Greek Islands in December/January that can recommend a nice hotel? We will have four adults and five children, so needs to be kid-friendly. I've also considered a cruise so that a hotel isn't necessary, but they don't really run at that time of year either.
