That's not true. The mileage/HK49/SWU gifts were based on status as of a certain date (sometime in Oct or Nov), so all Premier members would get their respective gifts regardless of whether they'd flown at all in 2000. (Yes if you'd flown enough to have increased status by that date, you'd get an extra bonus.)
