Are we absolutely sure that 1A and 1K are reserved for golds and not their partners? I only ask because when my spouse and I were travelling in CE (I'm gold; he's silver) I couldn't assign 1A and 1C online, was orignally told that only golds could get those seats, but then rang back and got the seats assigned. so I would guess it might be worth a call.
