easyJet's policy these days is that they will rebook you to a later flight for a fixed (and not excessive) rebooking fee, regardless of your fare, so long as it's on the return half. On the outward half, they still use their discretion - the T&C says they do nothing at all, but the view on the grapevine is that if you arrive after check-in closes but before departure they will usually rebook for free.
I'll stick with KLM for the LCY connections but if they drop their service levels on the connecting flights (I think we're safe with the F50 - they can't cram in more seats there)
Don't bet on it. There are a few F50s, can't remember if they're KLM or VLM-operated now, with an extra row of seats (row 15). Those are grim.
