Guys,

Thanks for the quick update. You pointed out one thing I almost forgot about...
we also have a new AC unit.. which makes a lot of noise...
but some of the new Sun servers make enough noise to rival an RJ

At this point, we do not want to modify the walls.
1 - It will be a big change
2 - we do not want any demolition work in the server room and contaminate it
with dust. Not easy to bring this place offline.

Only choice we have is to coat the walls and doors with sound proofing.

I will see if I can manage to get the device.. and have someone look at the
sound levels and frequencies. I'm not local to the site so I'll have to
rely on someone else to do the leg work.


You made me think about the AC unit.. I suspect it might be transmitting
noise through the floor.. I'll have to make sure its sitting on a soft base.
