The 1MM might have been points as opposed to miles (I forget) but in any case it would have been well into the mid-100,000's.
Right, that was total miles not status miles. I've discovered that it's quite easy to hit 1MM non-status in a year without using an unlimited pass even. Still it seems like 200k status or more is pretty exclusive. I've reached it already this year though.
