I actually booked BKK-YVR-BKK on expedia.ca at this great price and found that travel originating in BKK is always quite cheap. I got a BKK-MUC-BKK ticket on Thai for just $2500 in biz class, for example.

Only downside is that BKK isn't the greatest airport - lots of running around, which I guess is healthy. Beats Heathrow though
