Wouldn't it have been possible to remove the memory card and pop that in your carryon?

It's hardly criminal to take their time to respond, make sure you put the date clearly in the email and you'll be good to go.

Do you have travel insurance, or was the camera insured through your credit card?

Yes, AA EXP service is nice, but they won't assist you with lost baggage items either, and every airline loses stuff or has people who don't respect your property.
No No NO,

That may be reasonable logic, but lets not punish the customer for doing what a customer should reasonably be able to do.

Should they check their camera....well no they should not - but more importantly, should all checked baggage find its way unharmed to its final destination? YES!

We should not limit ourselves to the unutopia in which we live - we should demand that the companies we spend money with perform to our satisfaction, or we vote them off the island with our wallets. Its called capitalism.....and now with forums like this, we have the tools to do just that.

its time for merciless demands on companies to get their s#it together or we will fly with someone else. No more, we this or we that. All checked bags should make it, other than acts of god.

Its called capitalism and it works, lets get behind it.
