Hooray for inconsistency... I was in C TATL and the FA dropped a wine glass at my feet, shattering the glass and spilling wine all over the carpet. I didn't get anything on me, but it took several minutes for them to search out a flashlight (that wasn't for EMERGENCY USE ONLY), sweep/clean up the mess, etc. while my seatmate and I were standing in the aisle (no other C seats available to move to, didn't ask about F).

No skykit offered (nor did I really expect one) and I never asked for compensation... it was an honest mistake, the FA was VERY apologetic. Lord knows I've dropped a glass or two and I don't have the excuse of being airborne at the time. But interesting that the skykit is offered in some cases, but not in others. Or do you think my situation was different since I didn't have wine spilled on me?
