It was the first time ever that at 'check-in' I was told I cannot have access to my bags to fit within either a piece or weight allowance.
But the BA agent didn't do that, did they? It was Air Kenya that sent your bags away, the BA agent had no control over that. With separate PNRs, it's surely up to you to know the rules, not the Air Kenya agent.
