Easyjet official policy is to allow you to get the next available flight at a flat cost of £35 (approx €50) if you miss your flight and turn up within 2 hours of the scheduled departure time (and, in practice, the £35 is sometimes waived). And, conversely, if you arrive early, they will also let standby for free on an earlier flight.
It is ironic, but on a cheap ticket, you can get better service on the ground with Easyjet than you do with most European so-called full-service airlines.
Thanks for this information. I did not realize that easyJet was more customer friendly than KLM also in this area. It sounds like they deserve my business more than KL does.
