You can collect Flying Blue Miles (AF/KL) if you fly MH but these miles only qualify for redemption purposes only. They do not count towards the miles needed for moving up various Elite status (e.g. Silver, Gold, Platinum)

Still better than nothing I suppose.

The only airline that give you points/miles counting towards various Elite status would be VS (Virgin Atlantic) and that is only at a measely 1 or 2 Tier Points for business class fares or better.
