Well if that were the criteria, we'd have to ban online check-in since using a full 8.5x11/A4 sheet of paper (or 2) is an even bigger waste of paper and burden on the environment. Further, with the thermals, a sleeve is a must as they are so flimsy to keep otherwise. With cardstock, definitely not a problem.

I hate thermals. But I agree that it doesn't reduce my opinion of UA as almost everyone is doing them nowadays, even abroad. I still hate them. Everything about them. Nasty evil things.

I personally like the WN approach - a much lighter cardstock. That seems to be a good compromise.
