I booked a reward flight to Jackson hole. There is a reasonable schedule which would have me flying to DFW (Dallas Fort Worth) and then forward me to Jackson Hole. That's what I'm doing (in reverse) for my return flight. But that wasn't available for rewards booking, so instead I ended up with this crazy schedule which has me forwarding through Chicago, Kansas City, DFW then Jackson Hole.

If I show up a bit early on the day of the flight is there any chance I could get re-booked on a direct flight to DFW? Or can I try calling some number now and get a saner schedule?

The overall time in the airport doesn't bother me that much. I'll be able to focus on finishing off any work and clear out my in-box without phone calls, since I'm "in the air." I just really don't want to change planes that many times!
