I would agree as well. I bought a changeable BA ticket to Aus last year, and with a lot of hassle, changed it a couple of ocassions, and all done through a QF travel shop. The service charge is also cheaper with QF than BA!
A problem I had with changing the dates on my ticket was that it said it was strictly non changeable, but I bought that ticket precisely because it was changeable. And I also had changed it twice before at another QF office. They were adament it was non changeable, and I was adament it was changeable.

QF looked at the history of the ticket, and actually saw I had changed it previously. They weren't quite sure how I had changed, because of the above. Then they realised that there was a code they didn't see, which brought up a new set of fare rules! After that, they changed my dates, and waived the service fee for the hassle, I was like thank you very much, you're forgiven now!
