I know many people (myself included) who would much rather lose their Sunday in the US, get a good nights sleep in a hotel on Sunday night in London, and actualy be half intelligible at our 9am meetings.
Purchasing Sunday dayflights can be extremely expensive, I routinely try to get on AA's ORD-LHR flight and even several months out it can be full Y only.
If that is the case, why do BA run more red-eyes JFK - LHR than day time ones? If there is that much demand, then surely they should run more day time flights.
