Does anybody know the actual reason for the wireless ban once the door is closed? I know I've mistakenly left mine on (have a 750 like the previous poster) and have seen others still actively talking on the phone during takeoff rolls and no planes have fallen out of the sky.

I'm compliant (when I don't forget), but can somebody tell me why this rule exists?
