Again, it's the destination thing....Westin Las Vegas is the same way. That hotel is the last place on earth I'd consider a resort.

Although I have to say, I LOVE W honolulu. No, it does not have a pool and actually it does have beach access to a small beach by the grill. And, you can always walk 100 yard to the beach next to these "apts." I find the hotel to be a nice quiet getaway from the busy waikiki beach. In fact, I love their corner rooms facing diamond head with those 2 balconies. It is so nice to just sit there and listen to some Hawaiian music with the constant ocean breeze hitting my face. Birds love to come to the balconies too I guess people feed them a lot.
