I've stayed 3 times at the Paris Marriott. In fact, we just came home yesterday from a stay there. I like the hotel a lot. The location is good. It's right on the number 1 Metro line and loads of bus routes in the vicinity. There is no club lounge at this hotel. An upgrade would be a view of the Champs Elysees which is a wonderful view IMO. I'm only a lowly Silver so I haven't a clue about upgrades. There are all different kinds of rooms there. We've had an extremely large room, a medium size room and our recent stay was a smaller, albeit adequate, room. Breakfast is expensive at 29 Euros per person.
