Interesting because I have often toyed with booking an international open jaw at origin, which always price up fine on ITA, although I have never tried to book one. Will this always be a problem, and why is it a problem with an I fare but not a J fare (esp when one leg is in full fare W) ? Also, why does it price up OK on ITA if its is not possible to book it ?
