I found the Roosevelt Island tram (particularly the views from it!) and parts of the Lower East Side very photogenic when I was there last.

Taking the 7(?) to Queens can get you some great urban shots of a huge variety of neighbourhoods.

I also have an accidental once of Times Square, with some very regular motion blur, that is surprisingly effective
