Thank you so very much. I knew that if this bunch of traveling queens did not have the information, nobody would. What a wonderful service you have provided me. You have made my vacation!
We (as in the royal "We") are going to stay at the Camps Bay Ridge, which is rated #1 on Trip Advisor. Their website looks fantastic and the reviews are spectacular. I can't wait. Check it out!
On the other hand. We are also spending five days on Safari. Mostly, we are staying at rather rustic Gomo Gomo Lodge which is a private safari adjacent to Kruger National Park, where there are no electrified fences between you and the wildlife, which wanders through the camp, and they tear down a tree every now and then or bring their recent kill outside your tent in order to dine. But not to worry. Along with the nightly turn down service, they check your safari tent for snakes and other creatures. I'm sure that the creatures are also are interested in the thread count, which I will report upon.
There are No windows on the tent, only "chicken wire." This is ture. So you can hear all the goings on (and we are not talking about gay wild life here) all during the night. You need to get an armed guard to escort you from your tent at night (according to the website). I could get into armed guard stuff. My other half has a hearing problem in one ear, so he just sleeps on the good ear, and hears nothing. Me, meanwhile am wide awake.
And we are going to the Blyde canyon and Kruger Park. I would welcome anyone's response to any of these. I understand that Gomo Gomo is a bit rustic, shall we say. But I have been to Kenya and have stayed in safari tents before, but not without the electrified fences. I will have to take an extra sleeping pill or four. I hope I don't sleep walk. (You should hear the wild life, and the lions roar, along with all the unidentified screams, shortly before sun up) It is something to make a man out of you, or make you run for cover. Run for cover was my option. Ear plugs anyone?
We got free tickets from New York at the 90,000 mile level, so we are quite pleased. It is my other half's 50th (You didn't hear it from me!!) birthday, and we have been toether 20 years (I must be a saint to put up with him

). So we are looking for a special trip.
Your information was priceless. Thank you. I will pm my appreciation.
