Go have a good cry and learn from this experience: 1) Buy as soon as you're comfortable, 2) Mistake fares never last very long (I was surprised that the fare wasn't cancelled until mid-evening Paris/CET Monday) and 3) Fares are never guaranteed until purchased and ticketed.

I've partaked in mistake fares but I've generally bought as soon as they were available. The BA WT+ U.S.-Europe in 2002 within an hour, the AZ YYZ-LCA within 2 hours (took me that long to price and buy 4 acceptable itineraries) and maybe slightly longer for last year's (51 weeks ago?) NW Canada-OTP fares (purchased 13, refunded 7).
