I fly frequently to cities that United does not serve and as such I must use a partner and often times a codeshare but I always book through United. Will this help toward GS or if it isn't actually a United flight theres no recognition of the dollars spent? YTD I've spent about 40K in travel with United and partners but only about half of that was actually on a United plane, how does that work towards GS status? Not sure if it makes a difference but I've been 1K for about 3 years.
IIRC (from other posts), it is only on UA metal flights, except for LH (maybe) where UA and LH share revenue. (and this MIGHT only be a re-qualifying issue)
Also, where are you based? And how much is your yearly spend with UA?
