Why was my gold membership renewed?
About 18 months ago I did a lot of business travel and gained enough tier points for a gold card, which I duly received.
The following year I did very little travel and didn't even earn enough points for silver. During that period I did take out a BA Amex card and spent enough to get the 2 for 1 voucher.
When my gold card expired, I was expecting to receive blue, however to my delight I was sent a gold card for another year!
Is this normal? Did my spend on BA Amex have anything to do with it?
I suspect I'll earn enough tier points for silver this year and was wondering what I am likely to receive.
