Suspend coach meals on international flights?

HUUUUH??

15 hours airborne (eg ORD-DEL) in coach without a meal would be considered inhuman treatment.

Part of the process of meal service is to keep the pax occupied during the flight.

Oh goodie here comes the drinks cart
Oh goodie here comes the food cart .. I wonder what we will have to eat
Oh dear, should I choose meat or pasta
Oh what shall I have to drink with my meal
Oh can I have coffee with my dessert
Here take my empty tray away so I can get back to sleep

Attempting to save money is one thing, considering removing meals on international flights is not really an option IMHO.
