Usually airlines honor tickets they issued, especially if you booked on AF website. The fares were public for a couple of days, it is registered in the history of all distribution channels, you have a contract, the systems were working correctly, there is nothing fraudulent in that.
I don't think there has been many reservations on this one, the starting price at 1200 GBP is not what one can call "dirt cheap" and it has therefore low impact on the airline... that will not bother trying to find ways to breach the contract. Most of those that booked would not have spend 1000 GBP on AF, therefore AF is also a beneficiary of their own mistake
However, any change you make will need to go by the rules and they will certainly be strict with that (and that is normal), especially regarding changes on the first sector.
